Sunday thrifting: Brass vintage candlestick

I’ve been on the hunt for some nice looking brass candlestick holders in secondhand stores and thrift shops. I found this one over the weekend. It was more expensive than I anticipated these would be. It was 350kr or 35 euros. I need to clean it still.

How much do they usually go for?

I like the shape.

It’s difficult to compare prices without knowing more about it. Does it have any markings inside the bottom or anywhere else? Prices on items like this often are depending on if they are in fashion or not.

To find out the value on something like this, I often look at Tradera. If you have enough information about an item, you can be lucky to find one just like it and see how much it was sold for.

Me too! I think it looks pretty nice.

It’s says EOS Jönköpong 59.

There used to be a brass factory in Jönköping so that probably means you have a pair of their candlesticks with model number 59. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find them online.

I really like it. I tend to prefer things with a bit of history or at least the “look” of a bit of history! So this is a nice find in my opinion!
