How To Survive Without a Closet

The little granny unit that I am going to move into has no closet. There is 3 foot area at the top of the stairs where I might be able to fit a small hanging rack.

Any ideas?

Also if there is room under the bed you can store stuff there!

I am going to purchase a hanging rack and see if it would fit on the landing at the top of the stairs. There is no other place to put it. It is a hid-a-bed couch so not much room under the bed but enough for shoes.

I would also recommend investing in an over-the-door hanger. They are great to put bulkier things like jumpers and coats that take up valuable hanging space!

This one from Clas Ohlson is very stylish and under £4, a bargain if you ask me!

What’s a “granny unit”? It sounds like a small grandmother, complete with a rocking chair, kitten and knitting equipment.

A granny unit is a small flat. Like “in law quarters”

#6 You're lucky you found a tall one! The shorter hangers mean your clothes sometimes crease and drape on the floor.
