Smart small convertible apartment
Here is another example of a small (24 square meter) apartment that has been made to feel bigger by using convertible cupboards and walls. I like that they can hide the whole kitchen, an often cluttered part of a home.

The only problem I could see is the size of the fridge in these types of homes, as someone who likes to freeze things in advance I feel as if a large fridge would be a necessity for me.
You could swap the bed for a large freezer. :-)
